About The Artist

Kate Masters is a painter of semi-abstract landscapes.  She relocated to Washington, DC in 2025 after living most of her life in the towns and cities along the Hudson River, including Jersey City, Hoboken, Nyack, and Saugerties.

After decades of working full-time jobs, raising a family, and dreaming about the art she wanted to make, Masters began painting in earnest in her late 50s. Most of her recent works are landscapes inspired by local settings, done in oil.

She is a founding member of CIRCLE24 Collective, and served on the Board of Advisors at Woodstock School of Art for several years when she lived in New York’s Hudson Valley. Her work has been shown in numerous galleries in the Hudson Valley, and is held in private collections throughout the region.
